Lawrence Tijjani

Lawrence Tijjani is a former secondary school teacher and senior leader who spent 11 years in the classroom before founding Happy2Host Education. Born in London to Nigerian parents, Lawrence now helps schools, trusts, and businesses across the UK and internationally get real value from Google Workspace and AI. Happy2Host recently received the Trainer Leadership Award at Google’s Partners Global Forum. Lawrence is passionate about equitable access to technology and making sure every school, regardless of budget or background, can use the tools already available to them to transform teaching and learning.

Mmamotlhabi François supports Google for Education as the EMEA Impact Lead. Deeply grounded in the philosophy of Ubuntu—”I am because we are”—she champions the belief that connected educator communities hold the key to transforming education. With a rich pedagogical foundation as a former International Primary School teacher and Technology Integrator, Mmamotlhabi bridges the gap between high-level digital strategy and the realities of the classroom. She leverages the spirit of Ubuntu to build inclusive environments where technology strengthens human connection, accelerates student agency, and empowers the collective voice of the teaching profession.

Damilola Okonkwo

Damilola Okonkwo is the Founder of KEY academy, Africa’s first project-based school based in Lagos, Nigeria. With a deep commitment to transforming education for 21st-century students, she leads a bold, learner-centred movement that places real-world learning, creativity, and systems thinking at the heart of the school experience. A former f inance professional with Credit Suisse and JP Morgan, Damilola holds a BSc in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester. Her transition from finance in London to education in Lagos is driven by a clear mission to democratise access to high-quality education and challenge the status quo in schooling in Africa.

Under her leadership, KEY academy has gained national and international recognition for its innovative approach, most recently as a Top 10 Finalist for the 2025 World’s Best School Prize for Innovation – the first school in West Africa to receive this honour. Its digital platform for teacher training and accreditation, ImpactEducators, is equipping educators across Nigeria with practical project-based learning methodologies. In addition to her work at KEY academy, Damilola serves as the West Africa Community Lead for HundrED, a global education innovation organisation. She is a respected voice in education reform across Africa and speaks regularly on learner agency, educational equity, and the future of schools.

With over 16 years of experience, he works closely with platforms like Google Workspace and Google Cloud to help education, finance, and manufacturing organisations not just stay secure, but actually get real day-to-day value from the tools they already have. As the founder of Vernovi Cyber, Demmy focuses on making security and compliance practical; whether that’s protecting sensitive data, enabling safe online environments for students, or helping teams collaborate with confidence. He is especially committed to supporting institutions and organisations in Nigeria to adopt Google technologies in a way that is secure, simple, and impactful, without the usual complexity.
